Puhoi Pub - Where the motorbike boys hang out in New Zealand !

We had a great outing to Puhoi with our South Africa/Kiwi mates,
Pam and Roy from Rietvlei, KZN, SA, whom we've known for 'donkey's years.' We had a great lunch and a sippy at the watering hole, and enjoyed watching all the bike action. I was truly chuffed to have NOT forgotten my camera on such a momentous occasion. I think the pictures speak volumes.... Note Billy Black - a genuine pet pig in the back of the black tri-bike ! Welcome to Puhoi

'Puhoi Pub, historic and iconic. The Hotel & Stables estab. 1879, just 30 minutes north from the Auckland Harbour Bridge at the end of the northern motorway is nestled in the picturesque Puhoi Valley an ethnic village settled by Bohemians 1863. The Pub is "a living museum" a watering hole for locals and travelers , and with its handsome 2 story hotel and spacious lawns a popular destination for day trippers and bikers.  Visitors always seem to enjoy its old world ambience and real country hospitality!

The walls are covered with memorabilia of times past and present. Mix and mingle by our open fire or soak up the sunshine after canoeing the river! We cater for all occasions with a wide range of fine food and drink here and to go!'
